We partnered with pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler to promote Panasonic's newest headphones and their sponsorship of The Dew Tour, an extreme sports event that tours the country each summer.
Interactive designer/developer on a team that consisted of a product manager, a UI designer, two back-end developers, and two interactive designers, including myself.
My responsibilities included:
Panasonic Consumer Electronics
We created "Share the Air," a website that allowed extreme sports fans to submit their photos and videos to monthly contests that were judged by professional sports photographers.
Contest winners received prize packages of the latest Panasonic gear, including Ryan Sheckler's signature headphones.
The site also provided downloadable playlists, curated throughout the summer by Sheckler, as well as information about his signature headphone line and the tour.
Thousands of people submitted photos/videos to the contest and The Dew Tour enjoyed some of its best television ratings that summer thanks in part to this digital campaign.
The Panasonic tent was packed with fans at every stop of the tour, waiting to get a picture with the star skateboarder and demoing the latest Panasonic technology while they waited.
My team won a WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development for this campaign.
